The Infinite Escape Room is my first long running podcast, started solo back in 2018 and now working closely with a team of three other producers.
A strictly for-fun podcast, a group of geographically diverse chums come together to share a drink and solve a home made escape room of the ears.
For a podcast with very little in the way of active promotion, we've been pleased to recently hit the 100,000 downloads mark. We've also got a small community of patrons who help fund the effort, which I hope shows we're doing something right.
I produce, edit, record and write the show alongside my fellow producers. We've also done a live corporate show, which was pretty rad.
If you want to get a flavour, I think this episode in particular came out really well.
Pedagodzilla is a semi-monthly podcast that looks to understand some of the science and research behind learning and teaching in an accessible way - using bloody stupid questions and pop culture analogies.
While the audience for this is quite niche, we've been really privileged to get traction within the education community, and have been invited to conferences, collaborated with people across the world, contributed to peer reviewed journals and generally punched slightly above our weight.
I now get fairly regularly contacted by folk at the Open University, and the wider community, asking about how to do an education podcast. Someone recently called me the 'resident podcasting expert', which was lovely.
If you want to get a taste - I think this episode hits the formula quite well.
