A fun commission - a series of illustrations in the style of pub signs, for Harry Potter themed wedding place settings.
Comped and drawn in Photoshop using a combination of freehand Wacom tablet, and mouse.
The bridge and groom mounted these using little bent copper piping frames attached to small floral table centrepieces. They looked incredible.
A series of speed drawings over fifty days of varying quality. An opportunity to develop some inking and shadowing skills, and play around with different compositions.
Most of these were inspired by the Wikipedia article of the day.
Another wedding commission, pub signs, pub illustrations and a table plan. Comped in Photoshop and Illustrator, drawn using a freehand Wacom tablet.
The couple in question had a few favourite pubs around the UK, and a love for thinly veiled innuendo. They provided the pub names.
These were printed and then fixed to foam board, which was then carved around the pub shapes, mounted on small MDF sign holders (with modelling wire to act as the sign chains), and painted to hide the working and make them feel unified. They went down well.
